This section explains how to connect the printer and the PC.

3.7.1 System requirements

The following are the system requirements for this printer.

Hard disk free space

10 GB or more

•	The memory capacity varies depending on the application software or the print data type.
•	We recommend to use hard disk and memory of size as large as possible.

3.7.2 Selecting cables

The printer is equipped with the network interface for connecting with PC.
You need a network interface cable for connecting the PC with this printer. Prepare them for your PC depending on the objectives.

•	For connecting network interface cable, refer to "3.7.3 Connecting network interface cable ".
•	For the recommended cable specifications, refer to "8.2 Interface specification ".

3.7.3 Connecting network interface cable

Power cable connection procedure is explained.

Connect the printer to your PC as shown in the following procedure.

1	Turn OFF both the printer and PC.

Insert the network interface cable connector into the network interface connector located on the back of the printer.
